Turks and Caicos Swim Clinic

Take advantage of the opportunity to improve your swimming in the beautiful Turks and Caicos on July 8, 2011. The clinics will be at the The Alexandra Resort on Grace Bay. The clinic is the day before the "Race for the Conch" ecoseaswim.

Pool Clinic
The clinic, held at the Alexandra Resort, will be a thorough instructional process. We will begin the clinic with a discussion of freestyle technique and stroke drills. This discussion will cover the finer points of how to swim smoother, faster and more comfortably. After the initial discussion, swimmers will be videotaped with our underwater camera and each swimmer will have their video critiqued following the water portion of the clinic. The pool portion of the clinic includes demonstration of proper stroke technique and a variety of drills that help you learn the correct body position and improve your efficiency. Our coaches also get in the water with you and give you personalized instruction so that you can see rapid improvement in your swimming. Following the clinic your video will be critiqued and available to you online in a about two weeks.

| New for 2011 Introduction to open water swimming. For those who are new to open water swimming and are participating in the one or 2.4 mile swim, this clinic will prepare you for what to expect from the swim. We will go over aspects of the swim that will help make your swim more enjoyable and less stressful. We will cover sighting, pacing, the start and navigating. We will hold this clinic on the beach out in front of the Alexandra Resort. Attend this clinic separately or add it to the pool clinic.
